Next comes the base layer – typically crushed stone that’s compacted in lifts to create a stable foundation. We install edge restraints to keep everything in place, then add a leveling layer of sand. The pavers go in according to your chosen pattern, with proper spacing for joint sand.
Finally, we compact the entire surface and sweep polymeric sand into the joints. This locks everything together while allowing for natural movement. The whole process typically takes 3-5 days depending on project size, and you can walk on it immediately after completion.
